A Speedier Today

At Jarja Media, we offer our clients “Marketing At The Speed Of Today,” providing new website creations, a high-tech CRM, and the most effective ways to generate leads. You may be asking yourself, what’s really going on at the speed of today? Since the first iPhone was released in 2007, the world of technology has completely revolutionized. We can work remotely, contact thousands of people in a matter of seconds, and are #hashtagging like we never have before. While the youth has been growing up with this innovation, a majority of us are still learning how to adapt and utilize this “speedier today” to benefit our businesses. In the past decade alone, marketing strategies have shifted to keep up with the increased interconnectedness that advanced technology has created between producers and consumers. Here are some of the ways how.

Social Media

With all of our different social networking websites, businesses have more opportunities to market themselves to consumers. We can post quick videos, pictures, and blurbs to capture people’s attention without losing their interest or bogging them down with too much information.  This makes businesses seem a bit more personal, where users can really get to know companies and see some of their behind-the-scenes work on Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook.

In addition, social media gives consumers more control to share how they feel about products and services they use. Whether they’re commenting directly on a website or writing reviews on their Facebook, it’s easy for other consumers and competitors to quickly learn about others’ experiences with your company. So be careful- social media can spread reactions about your products or services faster than you’d think.

Advertising is Everywhere

Whether you’re driving past a billboard, scrolling through Facebook, or signing the bottom of a receipt, advertisements are everywhere. Digital marketing experts have estimated that Americans are exposed to about 4,000 to 10,000 advertisements each day, whether print or online. This can be used as an advantage to our businesses. With so many opportunities to advertise, there are more chances to reach target audiences. Social networks and browser cookies make it simple to market effectively to relevant audiences, based upon demographics, search terms, and purchase history.

Unfortunately, we have to be wary about consumers seeing too many advertisements each day. Advanced technology has created a new phenomenon of “ad blindness,” where the vast number of advertisements has made consumers more accustomed to ignoring them. As a result, we need to be very particular about our marketing strategies. Businesses need to ensure that their campaigns are reaching the right group of people at the right time, or else their efforts could be entirely overlooked.

Because of these changes, people are spending more time and money choosing their marketing employees and strategies than ever before. In 2015, it was estimated that companies would be increasing their marketing budgets roughly 80% over the next few years to stay up-to-date with the speedier today.

It can be overwhelming to manage all of the forms of technology at once. While it may seem time consuming to learn how to most effectively utilize your Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook accounts, these websites are there to be used to our advantage. You can check back to our previous blog post touching on the benefits of Instagram Vs. Snapchat and a few of the ways to use social media to accurately reach your target audience. This has opened new doors for businesses to strengthen their relationships with their consumers, become more creative, and overall enhance the productivity of their marketing campaigns. But don’t worry too much- as the technology of today constantly gets faster, we’re all on the run to keep up with it.
